I just want to take a moment to say thank you—truly. Passport Proud exemplifies Black excellence, and this trip was nothing short of amazing. The word that defines my experience is connection—connection with the ancestors, with purpose, and with the deep feeling that they are guiding me. This journey reassured me that I am on the right path, that I have their support, and that I am going to be okay. Going to Ghana has been a dream for a long time, and when this opportunity came, it was everything I hoped for and more. The incredible people I met, the experiences we shared—it was all outstanding. This journey has been nothing short of incredible. Every person I’ve met has brought something special to this experience, and I truly appreciate each of you. I love everyone's personality. Being surrounded by such beautiful and loving souls has been great. This trip has been personal for me. As a young Black woman in America, where there are challenges, this experience served as confirmation that I belong. It reminded me that I am part of something greater. I want to thank Passport Proud for curating this trip. It has been an incredible experience, and I am truly grateful. As a Haitian woman, this journey holds deep meaning for me. If you know Haiti’s history, you understand that we were the first Black republic to gain independence. Being here, learning more about our shared history, and taking in everything—especially the significance of the Cape Coast—has been overwhelming in the best way. It was a lot to process, but it was also powerful. I am proud. I am happy. And I am truly thankful for this experience.

I had an unforgettable experience with Passport Proud! They made traveling abroad effortless, allowing me to fully enjoy the beauty of Ghana. I only wish we had more time! My favorite moment? Hiking through the jungle to a serene waterfall, where I enjoyed the most relaxing massage. Truly a trip to remember!
